Prayer to the Guardian Angel
Angel sent by God to guide me,
be my light and walk beside me;
be my guardian and protect me;
on the paths of life direct me.
Day by day,
O dear Lord,
three things I pray:
to see you more clearly,
love you more dearly,
follow you more nearly,
day by day,
by day, by day.
Amen
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known
that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help or sought your intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto you,
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To you I come, before you I stand,
sinful and sorrowful;
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions, but in your mercy
hear and answer me.
The Sorrowful Mysteries
1. The Agony in the Garden. Jesus prays in the Garden of Gethsemane on the night before he dies.
2.The Scourging at the Pillar. Jesus is lashed with whips.
3.The Crowning With Thorns. Jesus is mocked and crowned with thorns.
4.The Carrying of the Cross. Jesus carries the cross that will be used to crucify him.
5.The Crucifixion. Jesus is nailed to the cross and dies
